UPDATE TO COVID SAFEY & HEALTH GUIDELINES (April 3, 2022)
We are pleased to report that Sullivan County, where eChemExpo is held, has been in the CDC Covid related “Green Zone” (i.e., low risk) for a number of weeks now. As such, eChemExpo has relaxed the previously stated Covid Health & Safety Guidelines so that masks are now optional and no proof of vaccination or negative Covid test is required. Wearing of masks is at your own discretion. Different requirements may be imposed should current conditions change.

January 9, 2022 update: THIS GUIDE HAS BEEN UPDATED FOR THE NEW DATES, APRIL 20-21, 2022,

eChemExpo Expo and Conference will be held in Kingsport, Tennessee, on Wednesday and Thursday, April 20-21, 2022. The Expo is only on Thursday, April 21 with set up starting at 10 am on Wednesday, April 20. The Conference will begin on Wednesday from 11:00 am until 4:40 pm, April 20. It will continue throughout the day on Thursday, April 21 alongside the Exhibits.

NEW this time is the option for exhibitors to order lunch boxes delivered to your booth space. This will save your exhibitors time. Order these in advance from Marriott using special order form at the end of this Guide.

Safety is the individual responsibility of every exhibitor and their guests. Please take appropriate precautions to assure an accident free environment and read the Hold Harmless Agreement in this guide. Acceptance of this agreement is a requirement for participation as an exhibitor at eChemExpo in Kingsport. Note: “eChemExpo” is part of EcoChem Strategies.

HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT

The exhibitor at eChemExpo assumes the entire responsibility and liability for losses, damages, and claims arising out of exhibitor’s activities on the Hotel premises and will indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Hotel, its owner, and its management company, as well as their respective agents, servants, and employees from any and all such losses, damages and claims. This hold harmless agreement also applies to eChemExpo, EcoChem Strategies, Eastman Chemical Company, Marriott’s MeadowView Conference Resort and Convention Center, City Of Kingsport, Kingsport Hotel LLC and Marriott International.


ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS

Q1: What precautions are being taken for a post COVID-19 gathering? (i.e., October 19-20, 2021 event)

A1:COVID-19 Vaccination or Negative Test Required
During the in-person registration process, all attendees must attest that they are or will be fully vaccinated prior to the start of the Conference and Expo, OR have a negative COVID-19 test results within 72 hours of the meeting. Face masks are also required. For more information on this and other safety protocols being implemented, check back on this website. Final updates should be available 5 weeks in advance of the event, March 15, 2022.

Q2: Should we register our company attendees?

A2: YES. Please have them do so NOW at to attend page so that name badges will be ready for them upon arrival and so that they acknowledge agreement with the Covid-19 safety and health requirements to attend. This provides complimentary admission to the expo and conference and applies to all exhibiting personnel. Please try to pick up your badges on set-up day, April 20, to avoid standing in lines on the Expo day. April 21.

Q3: Can we invite customers and prospects to attend?

A3: YES. Electronic guest passes are available for your unlimited use in notifying customers and prospects to pre-register for FREE admission to both the conference and expo. The most successful exhibitors will notify the same targets three or more times.

  1. Use the Guest Invitation Now to encourage customers and prospects to “Mark their calendars” and register online.
  2. Several weeks later: Send another “Mark Your Calendar” notice:
  3. Mid March: Followed with more details on your product offerings and reminding them about the complimentary conference where they can earn up to 11 hours of PDH credit over both days.
  4. Early April: The third and final reminder.
    • Resend Guest Pass and give more details on what you will be exhibiting.
Q4: Where should I stay?

A4: The event is being held at the MeadowView Marriott Convention Center. Discounted hotel rates are now available. The “eChem Expo” discount rate is $144 instead of the $165 to $170 rate that may apply closer to the time of the event. This discount rate will be in effect until March 17, 2022 or until the room block is sold out. Alternatively, call 888- 632-3697 and ask for the eChemExpo group rate or book online from our Directions & Hotels page.

Q5: Who is the Meadowview Convention Center exhibits coordinator?

A5: The Marriott Convention Center Coordninator will be Stephen Hiscutt. He can be reached at 423-578-6611 for special orders and for detailed information on shipping and handling not included in this GUIDE. His e-mail is: Stephen.Hiscutt@marriott.com.

Q6: What are the shipping guidelines?

A6: To ship your equipment, instruments etc, please be guided by the following instructions from Meadowview. They should be shipped to: Meadowview Conference Resort & Convention Center 1901 Meadowview Parkway, Kingsport, TN 37660 Atten: eChemExpo (Booth Number ___) Please make sure your shipments DO NOT arrive sooner than Thursday, April 14, ’22. Meadowview Convention Center may not be able to accept any shipment before April 14 unless special arrangements are made with Stephen Hiscutt.

Q7: When can we set up and then later disassemble our booth?

A7: Exhibit hall set-up is from 10 am through 6 pm on Wednesday, April 20 and then from 7:00 am until 9:15 am on Thursday, April 21. The exposition opens at 9:45 am AM on Thursday, April 21, and closes at 4:30 PM. All booths must be set up and ready by 9:15 am on Thursday, April 21. The exposition will close at 4:30 PM and teardown immediately follows. All booths must be packed up and clearly labeled for shipping (including account numbers) by 6:15 pm. MeadowView will not be responsible for equipment that is not packed, sealed and labeled correctly. NOTE: Tear-down begins AFTER the exhibit hall closes at 4:30 pm. NO early tear-downs allowed. This is a SAFETY issue.

Q8: What are the lead generation options for the exhibitors?

A8: Use of camera phones to take pictures of the attendee badges along with collecting business cards have been our traditional methods that are most effective. We are evaluating new options and will update this guide if there are new developments.

Q9: Is internet service available in the convention center?

A9: Yes. It can be ordered in advance or purchased on-site through the Convention Center staff. The charge is $25 per connection plus tax and service charge.

Q10: Any other special functions?

A10: YES. DON’T MISS this year’s Keynote Panel from 8:00 AM- 9:15 and the following Digital Transformation Featured session from 9:20 – 9:45 AM. These will give you valuable insights on the current capital purchasing environment and how to better position your company for success in the future.

Q11: Any other requirements?

A11: Yes. IMPORTANT: Please read the Hold Harmless Agreement in this guide. Your acceptance of the hold harmless clause is a requirement for participation in the 2018 eChemExpo Solutions Marketplace.

Booth Packages And Special Ordering Information

If you ordered Booth Package #1 or Booth Package #2, here’s what you will get:

  • Package #1 ($75): Pipe and drape for 10’x10’ or 10’x12’ booth, 8’ an 8 table, 2 chairs and a waste basket.
  • Package #2 ($125): Package #1 plus access to 120 V electrical (20 amp)

If you need additional items, or have special requirements, please contact Tonia Grecol at Meadowview Convention Center. A utility and equipment order form is provided at the end of this guide for your convenience. This form still needs to be updated for the October 19-20 dates but is reasonably correct for current purposes.
