eChemExpo 2024: “Connecting People, Processes & Technology

eChemExpo is normally held every two years in Kingsport TN. The next gathering, and 25 Year Anniversary, is scheduled for April 17-18, 2024 at Meadowview.

By way of background, the 2022 eChemExpo attracted over 200 exhibiting firms, a community of over 1200 registrants (including exhibitors), 85 PDH accredited seminars and several highly relevant panel discussions and Featured Sessions. This was the first two day Conference (instead of one day) while the Expo remained one day.

Your input on this stakeholder survey will help shape the development of the 2024 expo and conference which is attended by an expanding base of regional manufacturing, process industry, EPC and service related companies.

There is no provision for confidentiality in this survey but answers provided are used only by the Planning Team to develop the 2024 program.

PART 5 – RELEVANCE TO YOUR NEEDS
12. Multidisciplinary Stakeholders: eChemExpo continues to expand its base of multidisciplinary stakeholders. There is a decades long history of support from the chemical, mechanical, procurement and plant enginenering disciplines. The electrical community gained strength starting in 2016; the IT disciplines starting in 2018; Plastics Recycling community in 2022. Are there any new groups you suggest we engage for 2024?
EXAMPLES:
1. Expand the base of the Plastics Recycling community

2 Expand already strong base of the Process Safety community to include Occupational Safety

3. Focus on a returning the once strong Laboratory Analytics community and continue strengthening the Process Analytics areas.

4. Add the OPM Supply Chain Software community.

13. An aspect being explored for 2024 involves collaboration with partner universities and other applied research entities. For example: Oak Ridge National Laboratory; the Eastman Innovation Center at North Carolina State University; the Eastman Unit Operations Laboratory at the University of Tennessee; the Maintenance & Reliability Center at UT; the Regional Center for Advanced Manufacturing (RCAM); the Construction Users Roundtable (CURT); the RAPID Manufacturing Institute (a.k.a. Rapid Advancement of Process Intensification Deployment}; the American Chemistry Council CIO Forum; PIP &/or CII Working Groups, etc. Can you propose ways that some of these could add value? Any other recommended entities?
14. Can you suggest any existing entities that might be intereested in co-locating one of their meetings with eChemExpo 2024? For example, groups involved with safety-health-environment, cybersecurity, information technology, process development, process intensification, sustainability, energy efficiency, mechanical systems innovations, maintenance and reliability, safety systems, electrical systems, instrumentation & control, etc.
